Product Introduction

Oxetol 150 Tablet is used to treat and prevent epilepsy (convulsions). However, it cannot cure epilepsy and will work to prevent seizures as long as you continue to take the medication.

Oxetol 150 Tablet can be used alone or in combination with other drugs. The dosage and how often you should take it will be determined by your doctor to ensure that you get the right amount to control your symptoms. Can be gradually increased. You can take this medication with or without food, but take it at the same time every day to get the most benefit. It is important to take this medicine regularly and for as long as you are advised, even if you feel better. Missing a dose can trigger a seizure and, if you stop, your condition may get worse. It should not be discontinued suddenly.

The most common side effects of this medication include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, feeling tired or drowsy, restlessness, and low sodium levels in the blood. Most of these are not severe. Continue to take the medicine but talk to your doctor if these side effects bother you or don't go away. However, tell your doctor right away if you notice a rash or redness on the skin. It can develop into a life-threatening skin condition called Stevens-Johnson syndrome. Long-term treatment with this medication can cause osteoporosis (loss of bone mass) and increase your risk of breaking bones. Anticonvulsants such as these drugs can cause suicidal thoughts and behavior. Tell your doctor if your mood becomes depressed.

This drug may not be suitable for everyone. Before using it, tell your doctor if you've ever had heart problems, kidney or liver disease, difficulty urinating, depression, or suicidal thoughts. Many other medicines can interfere with it and some should not be taken together so tell your doctor that all medicines you are taking are safe to use. If you are pregnant, do not start or stop taking this drug without asking your doctor. Alcohol should be avoided as it can increase some side effects and also increase your risk of seizures. You may need frequent blood tests to help your doctor make sure you are taking the correct dose, both before you start and while you are using it.
