INTRODUCTION

Biogesic AP Orange Flavor Suspension is a combination of Aceclofenac and Paracetamol, which belongs to the group of drugs called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs. Biogesic AP Orange Flavor Suspension is used to reduce inflammation and relieve pain from conditions such as mild migraine, headache, toothache, muscle pain, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis in pediatric patients.It is also used to treat fever in children.

Biogesic AP Orange Flavor Suspension is not recommended for use in children who are allergic to acyclofenac and paracetamol. It is also not recommended for use in children with lung problems (eg asthma), heart problems, kidney problems and/or liver problems.

Biogesic AP Orange Flavor Suspension is not recommended for use by pregnant and lactating women as it is only for use in children and adolescents (under 18 years of age). It is also not recommended for use in the elderly.

The most common side effects of administration of Biogesic AP Orange Flavor Suspension are diarrhea, indigestion, abdominal pain, nausea, flatulence, constipation, and/or drowsiness. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen in your child.

How does Biogesic AP Orange Flavor Suspension work?

Biogesic AP Orange Flavor Suspension relieves pain and reduces fever while Aceclofenac and Paracetamol work by inhibiting the action of prostaglandins (chemical messengers responsible for pain, fever and inflammation) thus reducing fever and relieving fever in affected children.

Rules of Use

Administer Biogesic AP Orange Flavor Suspension to the child as directed by your doctor. Shake well before using. Your doctor will determine the correct dose and duration for your child depending on age, body weight and disease status.

Side Effects of Biogesic AP Orange Flavor Suspension

COMMON

• Diarrhea, indigestion, stomach pain, nausea, flatulence, constipation
• Drowsiness and dizziness

RARE

Stop administering BIOGESIC AP ORANGE FLAVOR SUSPENSION and call your doctor immediately if your child experiences any of the following side effects:

• Signs of a serious allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, neck, tongue, or throat
• Signs of serious skin reactions such as peeling, blistering and skin lesions

How to manage the side effects

Nausea/vomiting:
Give the child this medicine with or just after food. Let the child stick to simple meals and avoid rich or spicy foods.

Constipation:
Encourage the child to drink plenty of water and include plenty of fruits and vegetables in the child's diet. Constipation should go away after a few days after its application in the baby. Consult your doctor if it continues for a long time or becomes severe.

Diarrhoea: 
Ask the child to drink plenty of fluids, such as water or fruit juice, so that the child is adequately hydrated. Do not administer any medicine to treat the condition If symptoms do not improve or worsen, consult your doctor.

Dizziness:
Encourage your child to rest and get enough sleep. Give the child a glass of fruit juice or water to help with dizziness. If symptoms do not improve or worsen, consult your doctor.
