7 Simple Exercises That Help Balance Your Body

Exercising or exercising regularly is important to improve your quality of life and to stay fit and healthy. Working out can also help address certain issues and relieve them if performed in the right way. Exercise can help improve your body's balance and prevent falls. This is especially worrisome for older people because falls can be extremely damaging to them and take a long time to heal and return to their original shape.

Body balance is essential for every step we take or every activity we choose to do. Be it going for a walk, tying shoelaces or doing something as simple as picking up a spoon - it would be impossible if the body was not balanced. Body balance is an acquired characteristic, which our body develops in response to the various activities around us.

Working out, posture strengthens your muscles and helps you maintain a good body balance. Starting a workout to improve body balance is not an expensive thing at all. You don't need a gym membership, imported equipment or a simulated area to start working out. All you need is your body, determination to succeed and occasional advice from a certified training coach.

You may have noticed that in a moving bus, some people flip over when it stops suddenly, while others remain standing no matter how bumpy the ride. Clap crunches

Lift one leg and balance on the other while you bend the lifted leg to a 90 degree angle. Clap your hands once above your head and then below the knee of your lifted leg. Repeat this for 15 times before moving to the other leg.

Rolling side boards

Lower onto all fours into a plank position. Slowly shift the weight of your upper body onto one arm and lift your other arm straight up. Stay in that position for 5 seconds before repeating the same with the other arm. Continue to do this 10 times. Take it slowly in the beginning.

Tying your shoelaces

If your body balance is particularly bad, start with simple exercises at the beginning. Start wearing laced shoes instead of laceless shoes. Begin by sitting somewhere and leaning forward to tie or untie your shoelaces. Try tying your shoelaces while standing up once you get used to it.

I am walking along the narrow path

Mark off a narrow stretch of your house or backyard with chalk or a marking tape that is only one foot at a time. Try to walk this way without falling. Gradually reduce the space and narrow it down as you eventually get used to it. Once you become confident you can even do it on a slightly elevated surface to further balance your body.

Arm Workout on Raised Heels

Lift your heels and hold this position. While in this position lift a medium weight with your arms (a full one liter bottle in each hand).

Extend your arms forward and bend your knees slightly to get into a chair-like position. Keep your back upright. Work your way up to 15 reps each time.

lunges with sideways crunch

Bend one knee with the other leg straight. Stand up and lift the same bent leg to the side and do side crunches. Alternate with both legs and repeat this for 15 times.

Exercise is a great way to restore or maintain balance in the body. Some exercises that can help improve body balance are squats, lunges, rolling side planks, and walking on a treadmill.
